Sen. Ted Cruz lambasted the FBI over its treatment of Donald Trump while also explaining what he sees happening with the former president and what is likely to come from the agency.

In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, the Texas Republican called the FBI “thoroughly politicized” and added that higher-ups are going after Trump so hard because they see him as their “enemy.”

“Look, part of the reason that the FBI and the DOJ can be so contemptuous of the American people is they believe they will not be called to account,” he told Hannity.

“Senate Democrats certainly don’t care about the answers. They don’t care whether it is true or not that Joe Biden received a five million dollar bribe from a foreign national; not a single Senate Democrat asked about that. Senate Democrats will not hold a single hearing on that question, and they know that the corporate media will cover it up and hide You mentioned none of the corporate media even mentioned the allegations when Joe Biden was asked at a press conference about it. He laughed and said, where’s the money?” he continued.

“You know what? Al Capone said the same thing. He’s mocking the American people, and let me put something else out,” Cruz added.

“Listen, I don’t know whether it is true or false that Biden, in fact, took this bribe, but do you know who knows to a hundred percent certainty? Joe Biden. And if it’s false, he could call on the FBI, he could direct the FBI, hand over the 10-23, hand over the 17 voice recordings because they will exonerate me. They will demonstrate my innocence. He’s not doing that,” the Texas Republican observed.

“Instead, his henchmen at DOJ are stonewalling. I asked the deputy director, did you do anything to investigate these credible allegations from a trusted informant? He refused to answer that question as well. This is a rogue agency that is thoroughly politicized. It is thoroughly weaponized, and I got to say, look, you contrast that with the Trump indictment, which is utter and complete garbage,” he said.

Cruz went on to point out that both Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were found to have classified materials in their possession, but neither was charged. That’s because “they’re on the team; Trump is their enemy.”

Notably, the FBI was ordered to conduct an unprecedented raid on the home of a former president — Trump — last August.

And now, Rep. Jim Jordan has revealed some stunning new details about the raid at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in a search for classified documents, which came on the heels of Turmp’s indictment regarding those documents.

n a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland a letter this week, the Ohio Republican and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee pointed out some “unusual” actions taken by the FBI ahead of the raid that Jordan believes require further explanation based on details provided by Steven D’Antuono, former assistant director-in-charge of the bureau’s Washington office, WND News Service reported.

D’Antuono explained that the Miami field office did not do the search on Trump’s home. “D’Antuono testified that FBI headquarters made the decision to assign the execution of the search warrant to the Washington field office despite the location of the search occurring in the territory of the FBI’s Miami field office,” Jordan wrote, adding that the former top FBI official said he had “absolutely no idea” why.

Secondly, Jordan noted, the DOJ did not assign a U.S. attorney’s office to the case, which D’Antuono described as “unusual.” D’Antuono also reportedly said he raised the question with “a lot” of DOJ officials, but they never provided him with a “good answer.”

“Based upon his over-20-year tenure at the FBI, Mr. D’Antuono testified that he believed that the FBI, prior to resorting to a search warrant, should have sought consent to search the premises,” Jordan went on to explain, as that “would have been ‘the best thing for all parties’ involved.”
